In Australia, legislation was introduced in 2006 that requires specified businesses to forward reports of certain financial transactions to the Australia Government agency, AUSTRAC. As part of the Australian Institute of Criminology's research into Ausrtalia's anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing regime, a survey was conducted in mid 2009 of all business with reporting obligations to AUSTRAC. This report examines the findings of the survey on the perceptions of Australian businesses to the reporting regime in Australia.
